Abstract

Comprehensive education can not forget a major skill to human beings as art. The Primary /Secondary Artistic School (CEPSA) Oriol Martorell is a state school located in Barcelona. Students attend music and dance classes integrated in compulsory education. In this school ballet, creative movement, playing an instrument or chamber music is as important as Mathematics, Language or Humanities. Despite dedicating time to artistic subjects pupils acquire basic skills at the same level or superior than other Primary Schools in Catalonia.
