Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders: A challenge for educational inclusion

Abstract

This article summarizes the conclusions of the research on the education of pupils with autistic spectrum disorder. The study has been developed in seven primary schools in Barcelona and other two nearby villages. In this study some pupils were assessed, and different professionals, teachers and parents interviewed. Taking on account the present situation is made obvious the need for more specialized attention to these pupils and consequently the study, on the basis of the collected data, offers some helpful proposals for the schools and specialists.
