Shock plan to Promote School: the task of the Social Integration specialist as an agent of education and development
Abstract
The Shock Plan to promote school ("Pla de xoc") was developed during the years 2006-07 and 2010-11, framed under the different actions deriving from the Plan of Educational Environment of the Municipal Institute of Education of the City of Mataró. It was a resource for students who were at risk of social exclusion, being it main goal to provide support to young people between 12 and 17 years, who were derived to this service so they could develop their social skills and personal autonomy, thus improving their social, academic and family situation.
The project includes the provision of a Social Integration Specialist to those schools that decide to adhere to it.
