Listening to the face of the other: reflections on education in ethical values
Abstract
In this article the author defines education as an ethical happening, a relationship in which the “other” cannot be seen as indifferent to us. Regarding the education in values, she suggests we should talk about experiences rather than techniques. She also reminds us that it is necessary to educate children and youngsters in values so they can accept and cope with pain and failure in life.
