Abstract

This article aims to give visibility to a work that often goes unnoticed in educational settings: guiding, supporting, and sustaining students. We speak from the perspective of a team that experiences daily orientation work up close with students, teachers, and families, building trust, resolving conflicts, and finding possible paths when challenges arise. We highlight the importance of this role, which operates across multiple functions and spaces and, despite its invisibility, has a profound impact on the well-being and development of each student. The article reflects on the complexity, challenges, strengths, and responsibilities of this work, as well as the need for recognition and resources to carry it out effectively. Essentially, it is a reflection on a profession rooted in human relationships, meaningful only when approached with presence, listening, and commitment to each young person and their story.
