Abstract

The past year was the first that we included the reservation of who seats for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs (SEN), in the Programme for Initial Professional Qualification (PQPI) and Intermediate Cycles of Vocational Training (CFGM) of public ownership. The continuous training of students with SEN likely to fill those places in the regular circuit, led the Barcelone Education Consortium to create the Center for Special Education La Ginesta, a monitoring team of this kind of students with the goalof ensuring their ability to successfully overcome this new step. Thus, in june 2010 was created the Student Monitoring Team in the Post-Compulsory Secondary Education (ESAP).

The article describes the ESAP and its functions. It also includes a reflection on the current situation from the analysis of Barcelona's educational offerings.
