Abstract

At present the figures of school failures in ESO are about 30% in Catalonia. This is a sample of the educational crisis. Considering this problem, some secondary schools have developed new ways of intervention for students who are uninterested or who have no contact with the school system. Moreover, they should be studying 4th year of ESO and be 15 years old. The programme deals with using society as an educational tool. Students leave the secondary school for some hours to work in workshops, various apprenticeships or to spend some hours in small family companies always accompanied by assistants who can be monitors or / and social workers. This project is always carried out with the help of an official institution such as the town hall and has two aims: help students in the transition to the working life as well as obtaining the official school certificate.
