Abstract

This article presents an experience of schooling for students with disabilities in an ordinary compulsory secondary school, the Josep Mestres i Busquets Institute. The article is organized into three sections that serve the following purposes:
First, to communicate a stable educational experience and, as far as we know, quite particular in our educational landscape. To this purpose, the section "EXPERIENCE, A REALITY" responds.
Secondly, it should be framed within the "Master Plan for Special Education" of the Departament d’Ensenyament of the Generalitat de Catalunya, in order to identify how it is reflected in it. The corresponding section is titled “THE EXPERIENCE AND THE MASTER PLAN”.
Thirdly, to contribute some ideas that starting from a critical vision, allow us to define the "benefits" and "dangers" that we have observed throughout these years, so that they can be taken into account by other institutes, psychopedagogical teams, student families or, by the Education Administration itself, by promoting similar processes or proposals. This last section is titled "REFLECTIONS AND PROPOSALS".
