Abstract

The schooling of newcomers and students at social risk is an important challenge for the educational community. This fact, usually confronts us with very different questions and proceedings from the ones the teachers were used to conduct until a few years back. Since two decades ago, the educational centres find themselves immersed in constant changes and this makes the teachers and all the professionals working in the education field, continuously reconsider criteria and proceedings that guarantee educational equity, a quality education that offers equal opportunities for all. The pandemic has emphasized even more the difficulties in educational processes and in the access to basic resources that vulnerable and at social risk students and families have. We live in a world of constant changes and a close knowledge of this complex reality as well as networking together with all the professionals involved, are needed in order to address the new challenges ahead.
