Abstract

The article aims to address the necessary adaptation of content so that all young people have a place in our education system and have access to the same educational opportunities. In this case, we focus on young people with functional diversity who can also follow a program at the Centre for New Opportunities in Central Catalonia through adapted Training and Integration Programs. The article explains how the service works and then describes the profile of the young people who are part of it, as well as the professionals who work there. The longest part of the article discusses all the necessary adaptations in terms of content, methodology, and evaluation so that these young people can properly follow their education, with an emphasis on the maximum possible pedagogical attention to diversity. The article also considers very important elements, or dare I say it, a big part of the success, such as the support provided. The tutoring of these young people, coordination with their families, and the important bond between young people and professionals are all highlighted. It is also worth noting that, with the aim of providing the most concrete and personal view possible, the article includes the voices of a participating young person and their mother from one of the previous year's PFI courses, to provide their perspective on the entire educational process.
