Constructing the agenda: a competencial project to reverse the curriculum
Keywords:
Skills, Learning, EvaluationAbstract
Through close reading and analysis of National Curriculum assessment criteria, students ask themselves questions like “What concepts I want to know?” or “What skills do I want to learn?” to design their own independent Social Science course of study. As part of personalized learning, the students work collaboratively and through their own interest. The activity presented in this article, tested with Second course of Secondary Education (ESO) students, aims to connect the National Curriculum to students’s lives, in order to contextualize it for enhancing students' effective learning. As a result of allowing students to analize the Curriculum, new approaches appear that generate more real and competency centered activities that enclose the diversity in the classroom.
