Sport practice in handicapped people
Abstract
The sportive practice for intellectual handicapped people is a less considered aspect among the sector professionals. Initiatives done to promotion it have had a very positive effect in their social agreement.
In the diversity of sports practiced, hockey has achieved very important goals. Compromises of some prestigious Sportive Clubs and some Special Schools in Catalonia up to now have created a 14 teams chain, that usually organize different championships, only with little regulation adaptations, always for the Catalan Federation.
The whole work of schools, clubs, Federation and the Special Olympics organization allow the opportune publishing of this activity and the increase of the educational nature of people who practice it. Sport becomes an element of personal growing, good at access of human rights and duties, and an integrated and inclusive experience come true.
